On Thursday, April 8, 2027, IDCA will host its first-ever Trial Skills Bootcamp at Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company in Grinnell.

Attendees will hear directly from the bench and experienced trial attorneys about preparing for a jury trial, then have the chance to practice three important parts of the process: voir dire, opening statements, and closing arguments.

The event is geared toward newer lawyers who want more trial experience, as well as attorneys who could use a refresher on skills they may not have had the chance to use recently.

Registration will open in early 2027. For now, save the date.

IDCA will also be looking for experienced attorneys to volunteer with the program. More information about volunteer opportunities will be shared in the coming months.
